Thanks with Giving
October 11, 2017Connections
FaithLife Financial’s Good Works initiatives give our sales force and our employees the opportunity to help with improving the quality of life in our local community by volunteering and giving generously. This Thanksgiving season, our Thanks with Giving campaign was in support of the Food Bank of Waterloo Region, which supports more than 31,000 people in Waterloo Region through over 100 community food assistance programs.
During the past month, our employees and our sales force conducted a food drive, raised funds, and volunteered to sort non-perishable food at the Food Bank. FaithLife Financial Representative, Aldo Sison and District Manager, Kelly Zinger, (pictured below) volunteered with our local sales team and head office staff. Together we sorted over 8,398 pounds of food which will provide 6,561 meals to our community.
Staff also competed in a Turkey Toss and Apple Crisp Bake-Off to help raise funds for the Food Bank.
Together, we are able to donate over $1,500 and 100 food items to the Food Bank of Waterloo Region which will help them to provide over 4,500 meals to our community in need. If you would like to learn how you can also get involved with The Food Bank of Waterloo Region please visit their website www.thefoodbank.ca.
