Members Making a Difference

June 21, 2016Connections

FaithLife Financial Chapters use the funds raised in conjunction with their yearly Matching Grants to support the causes they care about – providing hope and meeting needs so families, churches and communities can thrive! With over 350 Chapters across Canada our Members are truly helping to build a better world. Below are some fundraising event photos that demonstrate how our Chapters truly express FaithLife Financial’s core values of serving, giving and showing kindness.

The BC Mission Boat Society makes a difference in British Columbia’s remote and coastal communities with vacation bible schools for children, youth activities, visiting the elderly, hosting fellowship gatherings, and more.
Faith Lutheran Church in Fergus-Elora, ON held a Shrove Tuesday pancake supper to raise funds for the Faith Refugee Sponsorship Project – helping to bring a refugee family of four to Canada.
Bethany Lutheran Church in Inglis, MB hosted a Caribbean themed celebration worship service and potluck to support people in the Provincial Nominee Program to purchase their work visas for Canada.

Faith Lutheran Church in Port Elgin, ON came together to host an evening of fellowship, entertainment and a potluck dinner to collect items not typically donated to their local salvation army food bank – including grocery store gift cards and perishable groceries.
Trinity Lutheran Church in Delta, BC hosted a chili dinner and old fashioned hoedown with fiddles and TLC dancers to raise funds for Harvest Hands International, a self-sustaining mission in Uganda, which teaches locals about farming and raising livestock.
Countryside Camp & Conference Centre in Cambridge, ON hosted a winter carnival Family Day event to raise funds for their Stand in the Gap Program, which sponsors 90 children, youth and adults with special needs to attend summer camp at “Camp Shalom”.
Wagner Hills Farm in Langley, BC held a charity golf tournament which included auctions, banquet, helicopter ball drop, and other contests. Over 100 golfers showed their support to the Wagner Hills Ministries, which serves men and women who wish to break free from harmful addictions.
