As FaithLife Financial’s Sales Managers, the District Managers oversee all our Financial Representatives with a focus on serving the interests of our members, now and into the future.

Paul LeBere, CFP

District Manager, British Columbia and Alberta South

I have been in the Financial Services Industry for almost 30 years, with past management roles in sales and a career as a Financial Advisor. The majority of my career has been focused on recruiting and training new Financial Representatives so they are able to learn and build successful practices.

When I started in Financial Services almost 30 years ago, people had very little information to help them make sound financial decisions. Today, people are drowning in information. At FaithLife Financial, we focus on helping members wade through the ocean of information and make wise choices to help their families. FaithLife Financial’s values of placing member needs as their number one priority resonated with me and reminded me of why I entered Financial Services as a profession in the first place.

Dave Smart

District Manager, Saskatachewan

I have been in the life insurance industry for 26 years. I joined FaithLife Financial for many reasons. I like the personal approach they take with both their members and sales force. They also focus on building up communities through Christian values. After all my years in the industry, I still feel that I am making a difference in people’s lives. The relationships I have formed with members continues to give me pride in the work that I do.

As a District Manager, I know that I need to be many things to a Financial Representative. If someone is new to the business I will provide hands-on coaching to help them learn to prospect and grow in the field. If a Financial Representative is transitioning from another company to FaithLife Financial, I will act as a mentor and sounding board – answering questions and motivating them to have a successful career with a company that cares.

Jay Phillips

Disctrict Manager, Manitoba and Alberta North

I have been in the Financial Services Industry for over 26 years. The majority of my career was spent as an Advisor, before I moved into multiple mid-level management roles, ultimately becoming a District Manager for FaithLife Financial.  Having been an advisor I have firsthand knowledge of the drive necessary to build a successful business in the Financial Services Industry.

I’ve always loved my career, but felt my previous company was becoming too large, and more and more focused on corporate profit. I started to lose my excitement and passion for the direction of the company. With FaithLife Financial, I felt that their value proposition: Helping people be wise with money and live generously along with their core values of serving, teaching, encouraging, giving, leading, and showing kindness are certainly something I can strongly identify with.

Over the course of 26 years in this industry, I have worked with hundreds of Financial Representatives and clients.  I have seen the immeasurable value that our products and services have provided families in their time of need. I am often reminded of this phrase, “When a loved one passes on, we in the Insurance and Financial Services Industry are often the only ones providing a source of income to grieving families, while everyone else is asking for payment.”  There is no greater feeling than helping a family protect their financial future. This is what makes the role of a Financial Representative so important and relevant today.

Kelly Zinger

District Manager, Grey Bruce, Brant and Golden Horseshoe

I have been in the financial services industry for 28 years.  Prior to joining FaithLife Financial, I worked at two other major financial services organizations. My career has focused on the coaching, training and development of Financial Representatives and business development both at the individual and company level.  When I work with a Financial Representative, my goal is to provide them with the tools, skills and knowledge to help them be successful in building their business.  What is essential for a Financial Representative to bring to the table is the dedication, ambition and passion – as well as ability to use the knowledge, tools and skills to get their business started and drive it to success.

I am currently working toward my CFP (Certified Financial Planner) and I’m excited to bring this knowledge to my team members. Working at FaithLife Financial has allowed me to continue doing what I love – with an organization that shares my Christian values, and exists to help build a better world through generosity.

I believe we have a huge opportunity and responsibility in our business to help people make wise choices when it comes to earning, protecting, spending, and sharing their money.  As a District Manager, I have the added opportunity of helping to equip Financial Representatives, to accomplish this on a larger scale.

Steven Park CFP, CLU and CH. FC.

District Manager, The Greater Toronto Area

I have been in the financial services industry for 32 years, starting my career as a commercial banker with a major Canadian bank and later with several life insurance companies and investment dealers as a Branch Manager, Managing Director and a Managing General Agent. I earned an Honours Degree in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario, and an MBA from Schulick Business School, CFP, CLU and CH. FC.

I joined FaithLife Financial as a District Manager because of its unique value proposition with Christian values. They also have a strong dedication to helping their sales force grow, while still having a commitment to stewardship and their members.  As a District Manager, I enjoy working with Financial Representatives in building their practices by sharing sales concepts and facing challenges together. I look forward to continuing to help new Financial Representatives grow their businesses and protect family’s financial futures.

Colin Kirby

District Manager, Southwestern Ontario

I have over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry where I have held positions ranging from Customer Service Representative, Marketing Consultant and now in my current role at FaithLife Financial, as a District Manager. I joined FaithLife Financial because we share the same Christian values. I started in the industry because I have a passion to help others and to be able to do it with the love of Christ is a privilege. This also influences how I work with Financial Representatives – guiding them on their journey to build a successful business.

I have my FPSC Level 1 and I am working towards my CFP (Certified Financial Planner). Currently, I serve on committees at my church, Marantha Christian Reformed Church in Cambridge and at my children’s school, Guelph Community Christian School. I am passionate about helping people to be wise with money so they can give back.
