Horizons Scholarship
Our Horizons Scholarship competition helps enrich the lives of our members across Canada by providing funding for higher education. Scholarships are awarded annually to a limited number of members enrolled in a full-time university or college program.
Who can apply:
- You must be a member of FaithLife Financial (i.e. an individual whose life or health is insured under a Society policy or rider, or who is an annuitant under a Society policy).
- The program is open to FaithLife Financial members enrolled in any year of full-time university or college studies.
- You must be a member by December 31 prior to the year of your application.
- FaithLife Financial Associates do not qualify.

How to apply:
- You can apply for a limited number of one-time scholarship of $2,000 for a university degree program or $750 for a college diploma program.
- Review the scholarship guidelines regarding eligibility.
- Before applying contact FaithLife Financial's Member Care Centre to:
o verify your membership eligibility
o verify your policy number (which will be required for the online application)
o obtain FaithLife Financial's company code number to continue the online application process - Members can apply for the Horizons scholarship competition electronically using the Association of University and Colleges of Canada's new online application service: www.aucc.ca

Important Dates For The Competition:
May 15, 2010 Deadline date to send your application form to the AUCC. May 2010 You will receive an acknowledgement of your application. June 7, 2010 Deadline date for receipt by AUCC of all supporting documents related to your application. July 2010 The Selection Committee meets to review the applications. August 2010 All candidates will receive notice in writing of the results of their application. Results will not be communicated by telephone or email. Sept. 10, 2010 Deadline date for winners to accept their scholarship.
